The New Orleans Saints re-signed two reserve defensive linemen, ESPN reported Thursday.
Edge rusher Carl Granderson and defensive tackle Jalen Dalton were both set to become exclusive-rights free agents next week. Both are expected to earn about $895,000 in 2022, per the report.
Granderson, 25, has been an effective backup for Cameron Jordan and Marcus Davenport. Undrafted out of Wyoming in 2019, he has nine sacks, 19 quarterback hits and 50 tackles in 38 career games (three starts).
Dalton, 24, has yet to appear in an NFL regular season game. Undrafted out of North Carolina in 2019, he missed both the 2020 and 2021 seasons with triceps injuries.
